Pack out was pretty hard, ended up cutting it in half. Shot the bull around 8am, and put it in the truck around 3pm

    who are you? Weirdy!

  3. ejeremy112 Says:

Howdy! I will pass it on to them. Is this Mr. Duke? Were you watching us from the double gates?

no i was above you…walked in after and caught up just before you guys shot…there was a bigger bull!

  5. ejeremy112 Says:

Yes, there was. My dad (Blaine) saw it, but Brandon couldn’t get a shot so he took this one. Blaine didn’t bring a gun, he wanted to help Brandon H out. My brother (Brandon E.) and I were in the lower part of the meadow. The big bull and this rag horn were fighting before he shot. If my dad would of had his gun, that big bull would have been down too.

nice video…..as I mentioned….I hunted not far from there a few years ago……very intimidating country…..especially if you don’t know where you are going – lol. Lots and lots of timber……….small clearings….you guys must have this area wired pretty good….. newby could spend days just staring at the trees here – lol

I saw on the video one gentleman mention ditch creek. I just hunted there last Sept. if this is the same area. We were in area 21-A where elk creek dumps into the salmon river. Is this the same area?

  14. ejeremy112 Says:

Yes, that is the same area. We walked out of ditch creek up above the other drainages.

  15. hessey189 Says:

I shot a nice 6×6 there just over the ridge on the east side of the bowl that ditch creek is in. Beautiful country. I am from Ohio and am in love with Idaho. Alot of wolves in the area.

hey what do u think about hunting elk up in the panhandle region?? in late september??

  18. ejeremy112 Says:

I have never hunted over there, I’m assuming your talking about a archery tag? Anytime is good to go hunting. Get a wolf tag while you are at it.

  19. IBREAKJAWS Says:

thanks for the response…no rifle..i plan on getting a deer and elk tag..i would LOVE to get a wolf tag..i looked at the state website and didnt see that option..can a nonresident get a wolf tag in idaho??

hey im going hunting and camping there in early november..im going alone and this is my first time in tru backcountry..i will be armed with 30-06 and 44mag side arm…will i be safe from mt lion and bear attacks?? and will i get to bag an elk or deer if im patient???and is there a hunter behind every tree there in salmon?? thanks for your help!

  21. ejeremy112 Says:

You should be fine, but you need to add wolves to your predator list. They won’t bother you, but its good that your packing. There is always to many hunters in salmon, depending on where you go, I always think if there is other people besides myself there, it is to many, but compared to other places its not to bad. Have fun

  24. ejeremy112 Says:

Hit and miss, but with how cold it is up there right now, You might have snow in the higher country

  25. ejeremy112 Says:

I am not familiar with either of those units, . 20 is deep in the back country and I have never been that far in. I have always hunted in 21, 28, 29, and 30
